And glad to know that he's welcome in Alabama because he sure as hell has burned a lot of bridges in Louisiana and Florida.

You think that if Mike Price hadn't banged those strip club girls that Alabama would have won a national championship by now? That guy's a hell of a coach. Was kind of hoping he would get a shot at the job again this time around.
I don't know about a national championship, its hard to say, cause its just tough to go undefeated in conference now. I mean there was a time when Georgia was down, when LSU was down, but now Auburn, Florida, LSU, Georgia, there all good. Arkansas is good every once in a while and now Spurrier's at South Carolina.

But I definitely think he would have done better than Shula. Shula's a nice guy, probably a much nicer guy than Saban, I don't dislike him personally, he's just not a good coach. I actually wanted Price to stay, but apparently he was a bit of a fuckup, there were always stories about him being drunk at the local bars, hitting on college girls.
Haha yeah. Shula wasn't ready imo. I remember the press conference. People were asking him about if he was scared about the NCAA coming down hard on Alabama and all that and he looked like that was his first time hearing about it all. I remember they were REALLY bad and then all the sudden I saw them in a new years day bowl. They REALLY went under my radar that year. Then this year they were bad again.

I like Alabama though. You remember a player by the name of Miguel Merrit? He graduated from my brother's high school and was one of his coaches in high school, played at Alabama same time as Shaun Alexander. Pretty cool guy. Him and my brother have remained friends over the years. I remember he had some sort of big play in a bowl game and the commentator went ballistic and said "MIGUEL MERRIT FROM HOPKINSVILLE, TENNESSEE!", it wasn't Tennessee, it was Kentucky. I'm pretty sure Bama lost that bowl game by missing an extra point in OT.
