I'm not sure it's that much of a let down. At the end of the day, In Jin Chi is a world champion and that was more than Larios and look how good that match up was! I know Manny will win this but i think it's a good fight for bigger things. IMO In Jin Chi is a big name and this would be a good fight to see.

I'll grant you that it will be a big event that will be good for the sport, I just don't see it being very competitive. I imagine Chi would have to move up in weight which would definately be a disadvantage. He's a belt holder but he struggled to get it on his home turf against Lopez who 6 months ago was an unknown.

All I'm saying is that it's a letdown in contrast to the many other potential matchups at 130.

Thats his big problem . Chi at his best has the ability to really knock Pac out of his rythm and take him into the trenches . Afew years back this wuda been a 50-50 fight but since then both men have gone in different directions. Pacs hands are faster and he has the better all round ability . Chi got a draw with Brodie which is pretty bad when you compare the guys . You gota go with Pac in this 1 but remeber Chi has a decent chin as he showed against Erik and he may have something left in the tank .

But he may be disadvantged with the weight, but this fight is in China so he will have the home fans wont he ? I think it will be a close fight with Manny in control. All i see this fight is like the Larios one, a comfortble fight but competative and this is what Manny needs imo. He will lead onto Barrera, Valero, Guzman etc. I think Manny is in control on 130 and this will just show that.

dude in jin chi is a south korean and i dont like the idea of pac fighting him
he may have a belt but the significance of the win (he will win) aint gonna be big
barrera is right there waiting to get dumped and here he is acting like a dumbass

manny could go down to get a belt at featherweight and go for the super featherweight title at the end of the year. that would be quite an achievement to add to pac's previous championship titles at the flyweight and super bantamweight. but actually, a fight with chi isn't even being considered at the moment. the frontrunner in the pac sweepstakes seems to be ibf champ malcolm klaasen. though i would rather have pac face either joan guzman or edwin valero since both jmm and mab are out of the equation. i guess pac wants a relatively easier opponent for his next fight.

Chi is formidable but PAC needs fights that will solidify the probability if not the fact that he is the BEST 130 pounder out there right now and IMO that can only happen if he fights guys like Guzman, Valero, MAB and JMM. PAC needs to prove that point.

I think people are putting too much on Pac if he opts. to fight Chi, give Pac a break believe you, me thats what happend to Erik, thats what happened to MAB and if Pac continues to fight these kind of fighters/fights hes gonna burn out. I swear I thought he has gonna go through Larios with flying colors and he didn't.

If Pac fights Chi, then good for him. If he decides to fight someone else then good for him also. He does deserve a break and he should take advantage of it being that he might possibly face the winner of MAB-JMM.

hopefully you're right CutMeMick. I just dont want PAC to get all these useless mileage against nobodys. Manny is not getting any younger either I guess better do it now than later when he no longer has the speed, power and stamina which is basically his bread and butter edge.

it would be nice for pacquiao to have a world championship belt and i think klaasen would be the way to go. mab-jmm isn't a done deal yet and we might still see barrera-pac next. if not, a valero or guzman fight would be the next best thing but a match with valero would be bigger if it happens later and i don't see pacquiao looking at guzman as of the moment.

cutme, pacquiao would have ko'd larios early but he had to accommodate all the tv ads so that his boxing promotion could maximize its earnings. so he just coasted to a comfortable win. and yeah, pac should get the winner of jmm-barrera.

I guess you're right Bro, Klassens IBF belt does weigh a lot and beating him means Manny becomes a 3 division champ.
