I will concede he won it by a whisker - but he WON.

Furthermore - if Hatton did get it on again, he would beat him by country mile - Ricky's problem was that he couldnt get up for a fight with a guy he knew nothing about - especially given all his other stressful problems like having to fly to new york 2 weeks before to go to court because of Frank Warren then fly back to the UK again.

He is a simple human being - hell, would anyone want a 3hour airport wait, then a 7 hour flight to a case hearing across the atlantic, then fly all the way back again 2 weeks from your HBO debut?

Combined with the uncertainty that it would even go ahead (Warren tried to scupper it until the night) - it was a 'bad penny' desitned to be doomed.

But Hatton's grit pulled out the narrowest of wins.

So VD & Wacko - digest that.
Don't give me this Hatton had little time to prepare for the fight bullshit. Cuz guess what? Collazo had little time to prepare for the fight as well. And that's the reason right there why Hatton punked out of a rematch. Hell if Collazo kicked his ass with only little preparation. Imagine what he would of done with a full camp. Hatton didn't want to find out. So he did the coward's move and ran. Ran his ass out of the division. As for the Warren thing? O' well. Sounds like a personal problem to me. Every fighter has them. Deal with them. You do business with a snake long enough eventually he's going to bite you. That's all that was happening. Warren was bit Hatton.
Your right. Collazo also came in with little preperation as well. Yet it never gets mentioned. I scored the fight a draw so I would of loved to see a rematch. Hopefully it'll happen one day
