There's a type of interval training which is very good for asthmatics. (also good training for non-asthmatics too).
It's different because instead of the usual time gap between sets you do breath gaps. So say if you were doing sets of fast punches for a minute, 60m sprints or resistance training. Breathe as much as you like during the set but only take 10 breaths in the recovery. It limits fast (panic) breathing because the slower you breathe, the longer the rest interval you have. Good for other physiological responses too. Add overload by shortening the amount of recovery breaths.
I'm not sure if this is new but I've been looking into it for a while now. If anyone's tried it or have any opinions on it - Scrap, Adam,Von etc - I'd like to hear them.![]()
