Can anybody confirm the following: I understand that Hagler's WBC belt was taken away from him after this fight because they (the WBC) had removed 15 round fights and only held 12 round fights and as they considered Duran to be up after 12 rounds they took the belt from Hagler, the reason they coudn't give the belt to Duran was because officially he lost the bout - can anyone shed some light on this?
