Williams needs to be careful, he could get what he asked for, it won't have been the first time and certainly won't be the last that a talented but untested prospect steps up to top level and get destroyed.Originally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING

Agreed. While I really like Williams...& don't really like Margarito...I'm just not sure that he's as ready as he thinks he is.Originally Posted by yoitsdan

I think Williams can take Margarito at this point, especially if Margarito fights like he did in the Clottey fight. Course Williams didn't look top shape either. Still unless Margarito is in top form, Williams work rate will be too much for him, the non-stop straight punches will neutralize margarito's wild outside swinging style. Williams gets hurt but gets a late tko or ko 10th or 11th round.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
From what I saw out of Margarito in his last fight I think Williams can UD this guy.
I'm not sure Margaritto can beat him though... Williams takes away a big advantage for Margaritto against most fighters which is height and size... He also throws more punches than Tony, and he throws better, straighter, punches. If Paul can take his punch He will probably win.
If Margarito rematches Clottey he's going to lose.
But Paul Williams is good and talented but he's still wet behind the ears and is not ready for Margarito until he improves his counter punching and his jab and his defense.
