Thanks a lot.
To answer the second question, I really doubt most places would let you just spar, especially if you are just starting out. Also you need to be sure that if you are training at home you are receiving a complete workout, often people think they are doing a lot at home but don't realize how many different areas of the body they aren't working enough. My advice is to at least see what kind of workouts the gym has its fighters use and if you still want to do it at home emulate what they do instead of just picking a few exercizes to do at home. I used to skateboard alot and was really good, was sponsored when I was younger. In skateboarding I was able to learn on my own because you didnt need to see how you looked in order to see if you were doing it right, you simply know when you landed the trick. Boxing has been a huge difference because no matter how good you feel you are hitting the bag or moving your feet, there is no assuarance you are doing it correctly, not untill you have a trainer there to let you know what you are doing right and what is wrong. You don't want to end up with bad techniques that will be hard to change later down the road.
