Default Is a KO the only way to beat Wladimir?

Is there a heavyweight that could actually beat Wladimir Klitschko on points? Is scoring a TKO the only way to beat him?I have never seen him behind at the halfway point in a fight.

I honestly think Wlad is an average heavyweight but it is such a weak division at the moment that no one really has the skill to outbox him.

No, he can be beat via decision, it would just be hard to avoid his punches all night

yeah so the easier way would be via a knockout. But then again all boxing matches are made easier if you can just knock someone out wouldn't they?

I can't see how it's possible to outbox a guy his size and skill. At this point a lucky punch might do him or probably if he ran out of gas again.

Interesting question. By today's heavyweights, I would say yes. Ali or Holmes could have killed him on points. His skills are great by todays standards, compared to the skill of heavyweights from other eras, his skill aren't top shelf.

To answer, I guess I need to think about who has a chance at all against him. The only one I can think of is Sam Peter, and if Sam is getting to Wlad enough that Wlad would lose on points, chances are that Peter will land a punch hard enough to finish him. Peter hit Toney with 3 or 4 punches that would have put Klitchko on his ass.

I think it is but that's why they fight the fights after they sign up for them. To see what guys are capable of. Who would of imagined Douglas KOing Tyson.

Wlad could be beat on points but I think it would be extremely difficult to do.

Calvin Brock is one of the few guys I saw win rounds against Wladimir without KO-ing him or knocking him down.

NO, a few years ago it was the only way but now Wlad is a killer robot... THe only way to beat him is to deactivate his sensor hidden behind his left ear, but it's very difficult to do with gloves on.

I heard the sensor was hidden in a very fragile pocket by his chin

It used to be, when he started working more with MAnny they had it surgically implanted behind the ear.. Apparently Samuel Peter received word of this as it happened, so decided that if he would ever beat Wlad he'd need to start practice throwing hard shots to the back of the head every time he fought. It almost worked for him the first time, now he's getting the technique down even further.
