Gerry Cooney fought an excellent 12 rounds against a very skilled and technical fighter Larry Holmes giving everything he had,and giving Larry all he could handle over 12 rounds. Unfortunatly......it was a 15 round fight

I wouldn't give Cooney a chance against Wlad. And don't forget he got sparked out against Micheal Spinks. BUT that fight against Larry raises a question.

Wlad is good going forward in a straight line. Big guy, decent power.

Trouble is, Larry Holmes is an all time great, who was faster, better technically and he had one of the best chins you will ever see. Klit would catch Holmes a couple of times, but he would not be able to stop Larry.

Holmes outpoints and outworks Klit over the first four or five rounds. By the sixth, Wlad is discouraged and runs out of ideas. Holmes ups the tempo and begins to force Wlad backwards. We all know Klit has a dodgy chin, Holmes begins to land on it, and forces a stoppage before the tenth.

as for holmes, i think wlad beats him too. he has all the physical advantages, and i dont think holmes would get in a real big shotm on the chin.

Well the two white marshmallows would both stomp a hole in Brock's ass, I say this would be a closer fight than most observers would think. I say Klitschko would win by 5th round knock while getting knocked down twice the process.

It is funny it seems when people ask who would win against Wladimir it has to due with knocking him out.Your question should be could Wladimir take his best punch, isn't that what you are asking?Anyway Wladimir I believe would stop Cooney before the 4th round since spinks did it in 5 and Foreman in 2.

I think wlad is way more skiled than Cooney, and IMO would KO him, but there is a chane of Cooney landing one good punch, and cause the Klitschko train to derail.
