Just read he is to have one more fight. Not sure who the opponent is...any big Tapia fans here? What is the story about his life apart from drugs? I heard it was crazy but on one goes into to detail!

Im a pretty big tapia fan.. Love the guy...
I dont know a bout a return though.. he has a good record now..The numbers probably dont do justice to how good a fighter he is.. But the names and titles on his record do.. I would have to know the opponent before i opposed his comeback though...
Im not entirely sure on his life story but it was a crazy life![]()
lol..
I know he lost his mum at an early age.. Never knew his father.. Was the youngest of something like 7 children..
Was addicted to cocain..Married a brilliant wife ..But was always going missing frequently when first they married..Lots of crazy stuff...
In fact i believe his mother was stabbed or gunned down by thugs..
If anyone will know its probably Cutmemick..Im pretty sure hes a big tapia fan..
Peace

What a man, Tapia was never in a bad fight, his life story is incredible, that guy has had more bad luck in 5 minutes than in my entire life.
Remember the good old days, we miss you Marco!
Johnny is one of my all time favorites.....His fights have all been great...Johnnny has always been a gentleman reguardless of his personal problems...I respect Johnny because he has never been one to pass blame on anyone else when it came to his problems....I don't want to see him fight again though. I wish he would stay retired

Same same.. Hate to see great fighters come back when they have nothing to prove....Originally Posted by DaxxKahn

He kept shouting he loved grandma and grampa In the first ayala fight ..
Also whats more..I dont know the exact number But he had an incredible record when he first fought ayala.. Something along the lines of 48-0-2 Undefeated..
Does anyone know why roach wasnt in johnny's corner for the second ayala fight but he was in the first?... I always wondered that...

Tapia's opponent, Ilido Julio, 33-10-1 (29 KOs)
Yeah his dad was killed while Johnny was in the womb. His mom was stabbed 20 something times later by a guy who thought she stole his wallet. Johnny was on some sort of youth bus trip or something and the bus went over a cliff killing a bunch of the people on the bus. All kinds of crazy crap has happened to the dude. I know I've been made bitter by some of the things in my life that aren't nearly as bad, but he seems to have remained a sincere and loving guy, his interviews make you like him almost as much as his fights do.Originally Posted by Tito_BHB

Hes in one of my fav. fights Tapia vs. Ayala I..... Wow!!
Probably in the top 6, of fighters that 'could have' been.......
The way he lost to Marcos in his last fight, CLEARLY showed that it's time to hang them up NOW......
Not happy really that hes fighting again.....
