I guess she looked ok. She looks pretty strong. Just needs to learn some stuff and not mind getting banged up.
I suppose I should fess up. I'm a female boxer too. Well, sort of. I've been training for roughly a year and a half under my husband who used to box in Philadelphia, but I have yet to get a chance to get into the ring with anyone. The promoters around don't seem to do much in the way of women's fights except for the Rough and Rowdy and Toughman circuits. I decided to enter into the next Toughman tournament that's coming up at the very end of March. It seems to be my best option right now for getting some ring experience although I have a feeling I'm going to be facing bar room brawler biotches more than actual boxers in this thing.
I've been a bit shy about mentioning I'm a woman since I'm not totally sure what the attitude is towards women's boxing. Especially since the female boxers here in the states frequently leave a bit to be desired. In my opinion, there's too many of what I refer to as "Foxy Boxers" out there and they make the sport look silly. That's not what I'm about. I'm a boxer and don't mind getting banged up a bit (heck my nose never was all that straight anyway).
