Sure...you can correct me...but the ringside phys stopped the fight due to the fact that Abdulaev couldn't see out of his busted up eye. Callas stopped the fight at 57 seconds of the ninth round.

It was ruled a TKO stoppage.

And a mighty impressive performance it was too, and a great stoppage. However if I remember correctly Abdullev beat Cotto in the olympics.Cotto himself says that in his entire career no one has ever hit him harder than Urango, that is quite a statement.
Cotto said that Torres was the hardest puncher he has fought by far.
