Why do I not sound like a Zab fan? You can be a fan of someone and still be able to admit their shortcomings. Being a fan doesn't = making excuses for them everytime they do something wrong.Originally Posted by Bx730NY
Zab did not get suspended for throwing a low blow. He got suspended for throwing punches during the melee. During the actual fight, Zab actually got off easy. He didn't even get a point deducted, even though it was an obvious foul.Originally Posted by Bx730NY
Roger Mayweather certainly deserves blame for coming into the ring, that's why he got suspended too.
Zab was getting outclassed, and since he couldn't beat Floyd within the rules, he punched him below the belt and behind the head. Are you trying to say that Zab hit him low by accident?
The ref in the Mayweather-Gatti fight was horrible. He called to break, then he backed away, like he decided not to do anything. Floyd was within the rules when he threw that punch. It was a weird situation caused by an incompetent referee. Are you trying to say that throwing a punch to a fighter's chin within the rules is the same as intentionally hitting your opponent below the belt and then in the brain stem?Originally Posted by Bx730NY
Floyd doesn't have good people around. Just look at his family. Do I even need to describe his father and uncle?Originally Posted by Bx730NY
If it all has to do with growing up in Brownsville, then how come Bowe and Shannon Briggs have never gotten in trouble for using dirty tactics in the ring? If it's all about the neighborhood, then how come all the fighters from there don't get in trouble for altercations in the ring like Zab has?
Zab is hardly the only fighter from a crime-ridden neighborhood. Erik Morales is from a section of Tijuana that has a higher crime and murder rate than Brownsville. Kassim Ouma was kidnapped by a rebel army and forced to murder other children. Neither of those fighters has ever been suspended like Zab has.
