Yes I'm annoyed he chose to avoid Kessler and fight Manfredo instead but until he gets beaten he's still number 1.
But that's the thing... Those are the two notable Calzaghe victories that you bring to light... And they are TEN YEARS apart... Or close to it. Can anyone honestly say Calzaghe's beating a shot Chris Eubank nine years ago has anything to do with where he should be ranked today?? Really it comes down to more whether Jeff Lacy was really much better than the likes of Beyer or Eric Lucas even... I don't think he is. And certainly Andrade is a much much tougher challenge than Manfredo Couple that with, as has been mentioned, the fact that Kessler want's Calzaghe not the other way around, and I think it's really dead even.. Calzaghe has the heralded win that people are going to talk about, but aside from that, Kessler has shown he want's to pursue the bigger fights at the moment.
