Default International Boxing - March 10th

International Boxing for a boss price - anyone fancy it?

Date change for this to March - Anybody fancy coming down the M62?

Paul Smith and Derry Matthews still on but now they have added M'Baye defending his WBA Light Welter title, Kevin Mitchell and Alex Arthur. Chance to see lads in the North West you usually wouldn't get to see, for a decent price too...

I have tickets here if anyone is interested. Not many left though.

    £30 - Balconys
    £40 - Floor Seat
    £60 - Ringside

And Liverpool is a friendly place no matter what you have heard

Sports Network's Fab Four show featuring Liverpool stars Derry Matthews, Paul Smith, Steven Burke and Tony Quigley has just got bigger!

Promoter Frank Warren today confirmed that the show on Saturday 24th February at the Liverpool Olympia has been moved to the new date of Saturday 10th March and will now feature a host of further stars from the Sports Network stable to be broadcast live on ITV1.

French hitman Souleymane M'Baye will make the first defence of his WBA World Light-Welterweight title against Ukrainian Andreas Kotlenik after Warren won the right to stage the fight following purse bids held in Panama City last week.

Edinburgh's Alex Arthur, the former undefeated British, Commonwealth and European Super-Featherweight Champion, will feature in a 10-round International contest whilst he keeps on track for a world title shot later this year.

And unbeaten Dagenham Destroyer Kevin Mitchell has also been added to the card and will defend his Commonwealth Super-Featherweight crown.

Derry Matthews will still feature as joint main-event with the first defence of his WBU World Featherweight title against Glasgow's John Simpson and Paul Smith will challenge for the Vacant WBU International Middleweight title against Belgium's Alexander Polizzi.

Finally, Manchester's Stephen Bell challenges for the first belt in his pro career - the Vacant Central Area Super-Featherweight title.

If that's not enough title action for boxing fans a quality packed undercard includes Liverpool prospects Steve Burke and Tony Quigley and the pro debut of local stars Joe McNally and John Watson. Manchester talents Anthony Crolla and Denton Vassell complete the card.

Warren said, "It was already a big event with Derry top of the bill and Paul and Stephen in title fights on the undercard but now with the addition of Souleymane, Alex and Kevin it is now probably the biggest fight card ever held in Liverpool. I'm delighted that Souleymane will fight again in England where he is building up a great fan base and also it will be the first time that exciting talents like Alex and Kevin have fought in front of the sports-mad fans in Liverpool and I'm sure they will all get a fantastic and warm reception."

Tickets purchased for the 24th February show will still be valid for the 10th March show

There is a new arena being built on the Docks which will be for big concerts/boxing etc. Not sure of the capacity but it looks impressive enough. The European Amateur Champs are going to be held there.
