Yesterday, the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, was the scene of the final press conference for Saturday night's scheduled showdown between two time world champion and WBC #1 ranked Super Flyweight, Jorge Arce, versus Argentinian, Julio David Roque Ler, ranked #9 in the world by the WBC. This will be a special 12 round attraction.

Arce is coming off a spectacular 4th round technical knockout victory of Masibulele "Hawk" Makepula last September 23rd in Hidalgo, Texas. With the win, Arce moved his record to 45 - 3 - 1 with 35 knockout victories. Arce has not been lost in the ring in 7 1/2 years, going 25 - 0 in his last 25 fights, with 20 wins coming by way of knockout.

Arce appeared very confident and without a care in the world at the press conference with his trademark lollipop. "I'm ready to win by knockout", said Arce." Arce expressed a deep appreciation not only to his camp members but also to his promoter, and most of all to the network airing the fight. He concluded his speech with a very amusing proposal to the network. "HBO will you marry me please."
