I picked Mayorga to beat Trinidad because I thought that Tito's long layoff of well over 2 years would leave him rusty and with a deteriorated sense of danger and I thought that Mayorga's great chin would hold up under Trinidad's attack. I was dead wrong about that fight, and I won't make the same mistake twice. Mayorga is not a skilled boxer and his overall technique is suspect. He's also got a serious machismo attitude about being able to withstand punishment in the ring, which is a very foolish attitude to have in boxing. He's very strong but strength alone is more for wrestling than boxing.

De La Hoya will box him silly and knock him out in the later rounds similar to what Trinidad did. Mayorga might not win a round.
