How good was Hector "Macho" Camacho?

You mean the Jones vs Paz fight? I tell you what...Paz earned his beating in that fight.

Jones owned him with ease. He kept taunting Jones throughout the 5 or 6 rounds that he lasted. I couldn't figure that out.

Every time he mugged or smiled at Roy...he ate a jab & then a hook & then a 3 or 4 punch combo. That was a pretty viscious beating, IWO. He just kept taking it & Roy just kept giving it. That was what I always loved about ole' Roy...he was always on point & once he started he was unstoppable.

Credit to Pazienza for making it to the sixth round but he was clearly out of his league. As usual...Roy just made it look like another day on the job. He always tended to do so...with everyone that he fought.

All True but that was not Vinny Pazienza anywhere near his prime Paz was already 33 and fighting in a weight class he aged into .... Paz was a better fighter at lightweight and Jr welterweight.

Roy Jones on the other hand was lean in his prime and at his best fighting weight 168 and 26 years old. A huge mismatch as it should be !

The reason that fight was so good was that Vinny forced Hector to fight with his fast hands and non-stop punchin, but Hector answered Vinny back and then some, a really exciting fight, I've got the PPV telecast on VHS and hopefully the tape is still good so I can transfer it to DVD. If Hector would have left the streets alone he might have been an all-time p4p fighter.

CC back....He threw his right jab at an odd angle, almost like a trip hammer, I have a fight on BETA against Rafael Williams who was carved outta rock, and who had just lost a 10 decision lose to Livingstone Bramble, and Camacho practically played with Williams and stopped him in 7 rds. Camacho was so fast back then, that he was hitting Williams with blinding combinations and then would be standing behind him a half a second later...Williams must have thought that there were 3 of Camacho's in the ring with him. There was even talk of him moving up to fight Pryor.

No wait.... you asked if Camacho had fought JCC, which I believe he did (and lost). He did fight Duran also, but only when Duran was an old man. He would've NEVER dared face someone like Duran before then.
