If thats true, thats very impressive. I've had a chest infection for the past week, and even walking up 2 flights of stairs causes me to breathe hard and induces a coughing fit. I can't imagine someone fighting a 12 roudn boxing match in this condition.

Some of you lot would do well to not be took in by the media spin

    1. Hatton never had an arm injury, he had his arms straightened by physios which made him unable to spar for a few rounds. The media spun it another way, it WASN'T a story that came out of the Hatton camp.

    2. Hatton DID have a Chest Infection and anybody close to Ricky would tell you that but guess what, listen to his pre-fight interviews, it is clear as day. He can't win, if he mentions it before the fight, he gets accused of making excuses before the fight, if it gets mentioned after the fight, he gets accused again

He can't win. Ray got asked a question regarding the latter rounds and he answered it. Guess what, the media made a F****** headline out of it!!

WHAT EXCUSE DOES HE OR HIS CAMP HAVE TO MAKE??

    He lost a single round.

Floyd does it against Baldi and it's called The Sweet Science, Hatton does it and it's whinge city. Yes, he smothered his work for the last 4 rounds and it wasn't pretty but he did the job, won the round and avoided the KO.

Can everyone just read 7777's take on the matter. Its spot on. Media have a need to make headlines so they twist the truth to make a story. Happens all the time. Its their job. In the build up to the fight i have read countless stories about ricky hatton that have been basically abstracted from his autobiography, merged in with a question and been passed off as an exclusive interview. They are very very sneaky little bastards. I heard he had a cold before the fight and Ray has been grilled about it and he's come clean. Big deal the media have twisted it to look like an excuse. Normal everyday conversations don't make the papers so stuff has to be twisted to make people like VD buy the paper. Cool click 7777

I just saw a post fight interview, and he seemed really under the weather. I think the chest infection was genuine and probably affected his performance.

I think its true that he had some kind of bad infection..
It was serious! It caused his testicles to shrink down like little raisins!
Hope he finds an antibiotic for it before his next fight!!
