Fighting Collazo again would have been a good career move because:

1) it was a VERY close fight
2) he promised Collazo a rematch
3) it would justify what he was saying about not having enough time to train for the fight
4) it would give him the chance to silence the naysayers that thought Collazo won
5) he would have had leverage (a title) in the money division (Welterweight, more likely of a jumping point to PBF or Cotto than Light welter)
6) it was an oppotunity for him to show the WORLD (not just the UK, that he could dominate a slick boxer)
7) It would have drawn more fans than a fight with Urango.
It would have been a bigger payday than Urango

That being said, at this point I am hoping that he drops the IBF title and goes ahead with the Castillo bout (which is the best move he can make right now IMO)
the reports we had over here was if he stayed had had to fight Urakl or be stripped, no step asides, he fought him and only him or be stripped of his belt.

im still 50/50 on hatton taking the collazo rematch, but his entire camp wanted him to step back down, his trainer billy the preacher preached to any and everyone he could that in no way did he want ricky staying at 147, he wanted him down at 140. Make what you want about that, say billy was scared and thought hatton would get beat at 147, or knew truly hatton could win, but his career was at 140, he was to young to take any 'going out fights' at a higher weight... truth is looking at hatton, he could make 135 easily if he trained right, hes not even a big LWW, and is fucking tiny at WW

im for from hatons biggest fan, hell i routing for castillo if they fight, but i think he made the right career choice by stepping down to 140 where he belongs. he is still young enough to answer any questions, i would assume he and his team obviously think they can beat mayweather so this is an if on their part; IF he beats castillo and mayweather i highly doubt anyone will give a shit about collazo unless he starts doing some spectacular thing...
