Hey PRP.... good to see you on here. And good subject to post on. Actually, I have some slightly different views on this topic.

Personally, I'm in favor of collecting the judges cards after every round, but not necessarily making them public until after the fight. I think they should be collected, because people traditionally mistrust judges in big, close fights. The perception is that judges will go back and alter scores from previous rounds, in order to force a certain outcome. If a judge's score becomes "locked" in after the round, this cannot happen.

But making the score public.... I'm not totally in agreement with. This would make for BORING endings to fights. A fighter who had a comfortable lead would probably spend the rest of the fight running around, not engaging in any meaningful combat. That's not what we fans want to see. A little boxing to preserve a victory is fine, but not to an extreme.

But I realize people will have all sorts of different views about the subject. Bottom line is: there's probably no "perfect system."
