I read this yesterday. Good job.
I thought it was well written.
Floyd might not be hailed as the greatest by many, but we can not deny his accomplishments of jumping up in weight and snatching trinkets on the way through. (still questionable old opponents like Gatti and Baldi dont suffice me or convince me)
To his credit, some can not even jump up one weight division with out having to run back down to where they are most comfortable and or most dominating. We are still putting the horse before the cart here because Floyd has not beat Oscar yet but the article leaves plenty of food for thought and only time will tell where Floyd falls in the all time greats category. IMO he is not there yet but he might get close if he sticks around a few more years and takes out some threats in the lower weight class of 10.5 stones. If he beats Oscar and then goes after Spinks I will shake my headbecause we know Spinks will lose. I say to Floyd come down to 147 and prove your stuff there. I dont want to see him fight Shane or Winky like others have suggested. I want to see him fight some young lions for a change. But if Floyd beats Oscar and moves up again (like JT_Rock said does something crazy like move up to 160) I personaly will be very impressed with Floyd and then I might have to change my tune.
(I still say he gets owned if he does this
)
Right now I look at Floyd as an opportunist and just someone who was at the right place at the right time, his opposition as of late has really left something to be desired. He has not beat anyone undefeated since he schooled Corrales and that was a great showing by Floyd Mayweather Jr.
I just don't know what to think.
