i like spinks too. IMO he never got the credit he deserved for for beat mayorga and becoming welter champ. he should fight a name fighter like ouma so he can get back into the spotlight.

Thats cus he NEVER beat Mayorga. All boxing fans know in their hearts that that is the truth. I'm with Lyle, I particularly enjoyed Spinks second fight with Zab Judah. That was his best performance.

Kiss my a** P4PQueen. I am not the only one who thinks Mayorga beat Spinks, MANY share my view. Only a fool who believes everything the commentators say would argue otherwise. Whenever anyone tries to tell me that Cory fukin Spinks beat Mayorga that night, I ask them if they think Hagler also lost to Leonard, if so I dismiss them as an idiot. If not, then I tell them that Mayorga vs Spinks was at least twice the robbery that fight was. Mayorga dropped Spinks THREE damn times , and got credit for none of them, plus Spinks just survived and landed nothing remotely meaningful or damaging. And yeah P4PQueen I thought Urango beat Ben Rabah, but that fight was total shat and shoulda really been ruled a draw, it was close, but crap. Totally differnt fight. Though Ben Rabah did run, it was nothing compared to what Spinks does. Whew! I'm outta breath now.

No surprise, because you must have held it while typing that entire paragraph.. Take a few deep breaths and think. I have never heard anyone protest the result of that fight like you do. I think you'd be hard pressed to find one other member on this forum that feels Mayorga really won that night. I've certainly never heard anyone else have a problem with it... Read any boxing website or journalist's review.. Noone thouhght Mayorga won. And to compare that to Hagler Leonard is assinine. I didn't think Leonard beat Hagler but it's nowhere near a model for this fight. Mayorga couldn't hold a candle to Hagler's jockstrap, much less carry it.. And he didn't win a single round as convincingly as Hagler did many against Leonard. but hey, considering you'll admit you thought Urango beat Rabah, Ill give you credit.. To shamelessly put your lack of boxing knowledge on display for everyone takes a real nuthugger. But at least there's no sugarcoating it from your side... You simply don't kjnow shit about boxing.

I've forgotten more about the sport of boxing than you will ever know. Yeah, thats why most every critic, AT LEAST called the Mayorga vs Spinks track meet, a very close fight. If not sayin Mayorga won it. As Max Kellerman discussed on FNF the week after the debacle, one very well respected boxing writer gave nearly every round to Mayorga, and Kellerman admitted that he could see why. Mayorga won the damn fight, and I will protest the decision until the day I die. I was a casual Mayorga fan before that fight, but watching him get robbed of everything he worked so hard for, made me a DIE HARD Mayorga fan, and it made me fukin sick. P4PQueen go watch the fight again, with the sound OFF, you'll see who won that damn fight, and it sure as HELL wasn't Cory Spinks. Cory Spinks is the biggest fukin joke in boxing.
