Baldomir had as much respect as WW champ as Maskaev gets as HW champ. Both are more beltholders than champs.

Baldo had my respect. He'll have it again if he comes back & pulls out another win against decent opposition. He handled Judah, he knocked out Gatti, & had been doing quite well running on undefeated streak for 19 straight wins.

Thing is having my respect...& having a shot in hell of beating Mayweather are two different things.

Problem is...everyone forgets to respect or laude anyone that fights Mayweather. There's always some problem...some defect...some flaw with the opponent after the fact.

It's a sad fact. It's quite laughable.

Judah was dominating that fight easily until he got caught. It's just unfortunate that he can't take a punch but for anyone to say he was handled by Baldo is pretty crazy. Same thing when Zab fought Tzyu. Nobody remembers the first round. Gatti was done when Baldo fought him and he got lucky with Judah so anyone that thinks fighting Baldomir was a bigger step or risk than fighting Margarito could only be an unconditional Mayweather fan. Especially with a career high 8 mil on the table.
