And Buddy actually was doing pretty good with Gatti.

McGirt will actually say the right things, but the people he trains don't listen. Like Joel Julio, against Quintana he told him to go to the body and Julio kept headhunting, don't blame Buddy.
I agree. I wouldn't blame Buddy for last night, I don't think any other trainer would of helped Adamek from getting his a** kicked. Dawson was just to skilled for him.
    What a moron.

In his day he was one of the best pure boxers in all the sport. And he brought back both Gatti's career after DLH and made Tarver a world champion. You don't become trainer of the year for nothing.

I agree with this somewhat, Buddy did say that Adamek can beat Dawson if they fought again, however, he should go back to his old trainer Gmitruk,, Buddy said their training did not work out at all, Adamek was unprepared and that they cannot communicate,, if we would of seen the Adamek that was in the first BRiggs fight, Dawson would be gone in round 10,

Good point about round 10 Mike. I have to wait a bit to see the fight, but in the Briggs fight he was so agressive and unrelenting. Not sloppy, no smothering, just a solid sustained attack. It was a bit of a shock to see that he let Dawson off the hook.

Leija acted like he knew everything that night, McGirt said to go back to the left hook and Bojado never threw it again and did nothing McGirt was telling him to do.

-Having Brewster start slow and try to establish the jab against a guy with superior boxing skills and a questionable chin instead of coming out guns blazing
-Having Gatti attempt to box with and fight a tactical fight against Mayweather
-Looking totally lost in Tarver-Hopkins and not having any useful advice for Tarver in the corner
-Malignaggi trying to stand and trade with Cotto way more than he should have

McGirt is completely living off of his work with Tarver leading up to the Roy Jones fights. Other than that I don't think his fighters have won any really big fights and he always tries to impose his style on fighters instead of working on emphasizing each fighter's own strengths
You can lead a horse to water , however you can't make him drink !
