Yeah I was hoping for a response from our Stateside Saddonians, I know it’s being shown live on ShowTime.

Your right about Mosley's last outing at Welter. I’m hoping he has returned with more in his locker.
The thing that gets me is that Mosley’s thing seemed to be based around speed & power in combinations.

So potentially you’ve got two fighters willing to put a lot in.
On top of that Mosley as we know is a very seasoned fighter while Collazo already has that look about him too.
I think i'll be able to watch it on stream hopefully bcos i'm looking forward to Harris - Lazcano on the undercard as well. Another pick em fight IMO.

Going back to the main event i'm in a win win situation....

If Collazo wins i'll be able to issue 'i told you so's' to the Hatton haters

and if Mosley wins, his signed Glove on my bedroom wall might go up in value...
Haha, signed Mosley Glove? Lucky fella!

I almost forgot about the Lazcano/ Harris fight... Indeed, it should be a very entertaining night of boxing.
Its a shame its not on Sky Sports at least on Sunday.

You know, i wonder if these Hatton haters are also secretly Mosley haters too?
What a pain in the neck that would be!
    Indeed i am

Are you going to be watching it?

I like Mosley he's one of the nice guys and Collazo is a very good fighter so it should be great.
Yeah these two seem like a pair of gentlemen compared to the rest of the welters. I like Collazo stealthy ethic. Made a fight with Hatton with out much a fuss, made a fight with Mosley with out much a fuss. Just gets on with.

Id be keen to find out who Collazo has around him.

I cant watch the fight live. Which is a shame, but i'll be sure to catch Sky's pre-recorded showing on the 14th.

the thing is Hatton caught Collazo cold in the first round it you remember he knocked him on his arse so Mosley might do the same in a better and more finishing fashion...

im hoping he wont because this place will go mad with the anti Hatton parade so really for a quite life a Mosley UD would be a good result for me but a Callazo win would be even better

That could be a double-edged sword there, what happens if Mosley blows out Collazo quickly?
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Yeah i'll buy that. Lazcano seems like a distant memory to me (mainly as a Castillo victim) but i know he is mighty dangerous. Vicious Viv has got a hell of a lot to prove since the Maussa Debacle

However Viv dosen't strike me as much of a wise type. He'll probably throw a ton of shots early on, wind down and get KTFO.

I have to be very selective about the times i watch boxing late at night on the P.C though....
I doubt id get to watch this fight live.

But for an idea for the future, yeah why not!

"Still, far from considering pension plans, the flamboyant Mosley has spent most of the build-up to his fight with Collazo - incredibly, the first southpaw he will face in his career - talking of plans to reclaim his position as the pound-for-pound number one."

1st Southpaw ever? Hmm, thats interesting.

Raul Marquez and Winky Wright are both southpaws.

I Dont think Luis is going to blow-out Mosely, i think it's going to be a close fought affair, but the younger & Fresher Luis Collazo may just seize his 2nd shot at the big time!

I dont think Collazo has a weak enough for shane to exploit, although im sure he will have his moments.

They are both fast-handed - but Luis also has the southpaw advantage too.

I just dont feel shane is as pumped up for this fight as he should be!
Vary good post CityofGod heres a cc for you . I completely agree with everything your saying especially the part where you said "Collazo may just seize his 2nd shot at the big time!" and "I just dont feel shane is as pumped up for this fight as he should be!" However I did pick Mosley just because I am biased when it comes to Mosley he's always been one of my top fighters especially when he was younger. I really think this fight is going to be a good one, honestly I wouldn't be upset at all if Collazo won though.

I'm gonna take SSM by UD, pretty decisive win for Mosley by 3 or 4 rds.... I think SSMs vet. skills and tactics will do it for him..... His hand speed is better then Collazo, SSM knows how to put punches together well and I think ultimately Collazo will not be able to find a rythim as SSM will mix it up.....

As you can probably tell, im hoping this fight proves to be a big deal as i'm rapidly growing tired of the other welters making excess noise.

This fight is just strictly business
It's on HBO. I hear everyone on the uncertainty of Shane, and it being hard to tell against a punching-bag version of Vargas, but I'm still picking him to win by KO. If he can KO a nearly 170-pound Vargas, he's easily got the power to do the same here.

Question for the Hatton fans: if Collazo wins, it's because Shane's past his prime, right? No one would pick Collazo over a prime Shane. So how would a Collazo victory over a shot Shane Mosely do anything to bolster Hatton's (gift) decision over Collazo? Not following....
