    Default KUDOS TO MARGARITO

just got back in town last night and got on the cpu to find that margarito appears to be fighting paul williams. so now it seems that all of my margarito bashing was in vain.

having said that, williams wins by brutal knockout

Even if he doesn't face Williams, he isn't ducking him. But at the same time, Floyd wasn't ducking Margarito either.

"Even if he he doesn't face Williams,he isn't ducking him".....thats not what everyone here was saying a week ago. And we shall see what Floyd does after the Oscar fight but I distintcly recall Floyd saying he would meet Margarito somewhere down the line, when it was a bigger fight and Margarito was abigger name. Margarito is becoming a bigger name already...he HAS to beat Williams and Cotto, then no one can deny the Tijuana tornado.

Williams will be an easier task than Cotto I can assure you of that. Paul Williams will be KTFO by Margarito, no question about it in my mind. Cotto could outbox Margarito, and hurt him, but probably not stop him or drop him, since that has never happend to Margarito. Glad to see Margarito is gonna fight big mouth Williams. I was worried Margarito was gonna vacate his title and not face Williams myself. Now the Floyd fans can shut up. However I don't think Margarito has much of a chance against Floyd, he's too slow, and though he hits hard, he's not a one punch guy, so if he did land one on Floyd I don't think it would end the fight.

Nice analysis, and I tooo believe Tony will beat Williams and that Cotto is the tougher fight,I merely differ on the outcomes. I think he'll beat Williams on points, maybe stop him late but I also believe, unless Cotto gos back to being more defensive(ie pre Corely)that Margarito beats Cotto too. As for Floyd Tony,Floyd is with0ut a shadow of a doubt the better fighter and would be a favourite but I just believe thet Tijauna native would give Floyd hell.

What makes you think Williams has a chance of going the distance though? He leaves himself wide open for punches, like he did against Mitchell, throws tons of punches, so he's open a lot, and is a cocky little stick boy who thinks he can actually beat Margarito. Undefeated prospects have not faired well against Margarito in the past, and I don't think Williams will be the one to break the trend. I see about a 5th round stoppage for Margarito. And I see Max Kellerman crying his eyes out afterward.

Williams took Mathysse punches well and that guy had power. And Tony may choose to be more selective with his output a la Cintron fight. I want to hear Kellerman's reaction too,I've never seen an announcer suck someone so hard ! Aren't they supposed to be impartial or at least try to be.

Williams biggest weakness imo is the fact that although people diss Tony's D,its because they don't analyse the fight,he can actually defend fairly decently~(Clottey fight aside). Against Santos,he began picking off Santos punches towards the end, against Cintron,Kermit hardly landed any of his bombs etc. In comparison,Paul has NO d,AND WHEN YOU ARE 6 FOOT 1 AND GUYS LIKE sHARMBA are moving you with their punches, getting inside,it makes me think Tony will do that too but only be more devestating. Puals punches also lack snap as eveidenced in the Pakua fight whereas Tony was only throwing arm punches v Clottey because he hurt his wrist, his placement and power are usually very good. I don't see Pual hurting Tony but I can see Tony hurting Paul.
