if winky wins and put on a dominating performance and pbf turns in a lackluster showing or loses against judah is the only time i'd put him at no. 1. i don't think winky should overtake mayweather if wins a close fight with taylor most especially if it would turn out to be a controversial one.

This will be the tuffest debate of our P4P list...no shat.

It was in the beginning...but if WInky does indeed win...& so does Floyd...we'll have to compare apples to apples with these two.

Can Winky still make 154, they could settle this argument the old-fashioned way.

I'm sure that he could make it...but it would probably kill him in one department or the other...look at all the ones that have hopped & skipped through the weights...they lose something.

I disagree. If they both win, Floyd should still remain #1 P4P. He's undefeated.
well with that logic Joe calzaghe should have been #1 long time ago.

If Jermain beats winky then does he not challenge for the number one pfp slot?

I can't see him being #1, but he deserves top 10, probably top 5. People are going to discredit him, saying he got a gimme both times against B-HOP. If he barely beats Wright, the same thing might be said. If he destroys Wright, then he'll get more credit all the way across. Taylor is stuck in a position, because it's hard to look good against Wright or B-HOP. Without convincingly winning, he won't get the proper credit, but still, wins against B-HOP and wright, deserves something. Narrow wins, robberies, or flukes,or flat out wins, he will still deserve credit.

I can't see them taking it away form PBF if he ko's Zab Judah... and plans a fight against a big opponent for september or earlier... I truly can't ... IMO he's far ahead of Winky for p4p just because he's so much better p4p.

I agree that Floyd is a better all-around fighter, but everyone is on the "What have you done for me lately" thing, when it comes to p4p lists. Roy was more talented, and well rounded than Tito, but Tito was ranked higher because he fought like 5 champs and 2 former champs in a row.

When it comes to Pound For Pound rankings, it's not about how skilled you are, it's what your doing and have done that counts.

4 years will pass, with Floyd having his two best fighters, Corely and Judah, both having lost their previous fights when they met the Pretty Boy.

You guys are measuring your p4p on all-around-talent/skill. You've got it all wrong.
Because if boxing was just "skill" or if YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT IT AS JUST "SKILL."
Then you better rethink your boxing knowledge.

I'm going to be nice and give you a hint:
"It's character that make a fighter beat a better fighter." -Cus D'Amato
Better fighter means a more skilled fighter. And you figure out what character is.

And if all that mattered was "skillz," then every fight would be predictable!
Some, and if I will, most of you guys are measuring too much on skills. Great example of a fighter who didn't depend on his skills to win; Rocky Marciano. Joe Louis once said, “He doesn’t know too much about the boxing book, but it wasn’t a boxing book he hit me with. It was a whole library of bone crushers.”

And hanging on to this silly "0" that is only meaningful if Floyd was "The Truth" at 140 and 147.
Three and a half years ago, he proved it at 130 and 135, but he takes on high profile tune-ups. And Winky is going on upsetting everyone, risking, and working hard and you guys still say...
    "Floyd still hasn't lost."

That just encourages Floyd to keep on taking safe and easy money fights! Cause that's all he has to do to stay on top, according to you guys. Just keep that "O" even if it's against girl scouts.
Nonsense, no wonder fighters keep taking safe fights these days, cause you'll all write him off and call him a loser for just a loss.

CC Gyrokai,(what does your name mean?sounds like a manga character!). You wrote down everything I was thinking,P4P cannot be based on skill alone, opponents is just an important factor.
