    Yeah! it could be.....

Thats not the Cherry your acustomed to seeing he just never found his rythim and fought Pualie fight all night...
Credit to Paulie though he kept busy and out hustled Cherry....

See the difference in the defensive style how it differs from other defensive style fighters, Paulie was on the move and allover the ring going back but he did it effectively he also countered well and came at Cherry through out the night....

Now if ONLY he could learn to tone his fwocken louth mouth a little bit....

No question Paulie won the fight. like you said cherry was off his game. a fighter can't follow these runners around the ring, they going to pot shot and move all night long.. like you said Cherry just playing into Paulie's comfort zone.. what you got to do is make them come to you more and get them playing your style. a battle of the minds. when Paulie step back , then you step back do it all night long until he starts moving in, then close down on him like an avalanche .. Also got to make the ref aware of the tie-ups .
Paulie was running and holding a great deal. cherry should have told the ref every time he breaks him apart " this muther@#$ers holding man" eventually the ref will work with you on that ! but you the fighter got to be persistent about it. you can't start complaining about the holding late in the fight, you gotta nip that holding shit from the onset, so by round 5 or 6 the ref will start taking points away !

    Ones focused.
Ones a body puncher and a head puncher.
One throws hooks, uppercuts, lefts, rights.
    One is Orthodox.
One seems to slap his right hand punch.
One likes to come forward and fight from then on.
    One fights flat footed.

    The other doesn't / isn't.

I saw the Smith/Powell fight again, and I can see three of the rounds I scored for Smith going either way....Smith was landing more powerful of the shots but Powell had a slightly higher output, I wont argue the scorecard, but all of the three close rounds I saw were given to Powell, not 1 of the three went to Smith. Homecooking? I feel that Smith had the opportunity to take the fight he really didnt do enough to make the judges give him those close rounds so I am not gonna complain. He simply should have thrown more. The three close rounds to me were the 6th&7th and the 9th.

I still like Malinaggi's style of boxing, because he has a chance to win against anyone if he can move and jab like that, may not be crowd pleasing but is good boxing.I just read there may be a Malinaggi-Gatti fight in the future.Of course it would be in Atlantic City

Berto's definitely a good prospect, nice jab and the speed and power. But the fight was kind of pointless, not saying Nito took a dive, but he didn't exactly look thrilled to be in there.

As for Ishe/Powell, I didn't really care who got the decision, you could make a case either way. Ishe's got nothing to complain about cause he's naturally the better fighter IMO, but then again neither does Powell cause he didn't really put himself out in the last two rounds.

And Malignaggi looked unsure of himself IMO. I don't know what Cherry was trying to do.
