I've never actually seen Spada fight but he seems to have been around forever.

I remember Mayweather calling him out before he fought Castillo.

What went wrong for him and why do people rain on him?

Spadafora was in prison for a little over a year for shooting his girlfriend in the chest during a drunken argument. They got engaged afterwards, but he still had to go to prison for it.

Also major alcohol addiction, cocaine abuse, and attempted suicide.

He got out of prison last spring and said it helped him clean up his lifestyle and get away from the negative people/factors in his life. So now he's in his "rebuilding" process.

Here he is sparring PBF. This video must have been from the late 90's..few years before Mayweather-Castillo I if I heard the audio correctly. Spadafora looked pretty sharp, mayweather was out of shape. Still, it's not everyday you see Floyd shown up in the ring.

for the info, man I imagined that people didn't like him cos he had feather dusters for fists or something, not that he was Ike Ibeabuchi at 140!

You think he's got anything left?

He's a local fighter (pittsburgh) and I meant him a few times and attended a couple of his fights. I like him, but wouldn't consider myself a big fan.

I was at his fight against leonard dorin in 2003 where he was gifted a draw and remember thinking Dorin should've won. Dorin proceeded to get KO'd by Gatti in 2. So unless prison really helped him kick his habits and he comes out BETTER than he went in than I cant see him making much of an impact.

And he does have feather dusters for fists
