Best fighter he fought was Danny Williams, and that rematch he looked pretty good from the youtube vid.

I'm not going to dismiss a knockout. But the way fans treat one fighter when they get knocked out and defend it like it was nothing but with some fighters they poitn and laigh at the knockout in the same scenario. I'm not denying the knockout and I'm not an Audley "fan" I'm a fan of boxing. And I see that far too often. You've seen everything when you've heard a zab judah fan that he was dazed because he hit the back of his head on the canvas against Tszyu But when Audley Harrison gets knocked out everybody laughs and acts like he was losing the fight? He looked good from what I saw. No matter the opponent Audley was looking good up until the KO. I don't deny the KO, but you don't deny the performance prior. And if there's a rematch Audley will win probably.
I'll give you a for at least trying to cut Audley some slack.

I think his title chances now look almost hopelessly remote and his pro career will probably go down in British boxing history as a wasted opportunity but I don't really understand the hatred this man seems to inspire.

He thought he was going to be great, he talked about it in those terms and he got exposed as someone who was far inferior to what he thought he was.

That doesn't make him a child killer, or a heroin dealer. He's not out raping women in parks or robbing from defenceless old ladies (unless you count some of his opponents, lol) so I don't think he deserves all the contempt that he gets.

If he does decide to give it one more go I for one will root for him. I'd like to see his undoubted talent finally bear some fruit and I'd like him to prove his legion of critics wrong.

Ok...fine...I won't deny a good performance against Michael Sprott. Now what is a good performance before getting KO'd against Michael Sprott worth anyways?

    All fights can't have rematches....

I remember people opposing when MAB - Juarez II was being signed people questioned that.....

I don't care how good he did in the 1st few rds. he got KO'd.....

Paulie fought better and better as the fight wen't on, when he faced Cotto now I'm hearing if Cotto gets passed Urkal & when hes done with Zab and Paulie gets passed his next opponent their might be a re-match....

    What the fwock for?

As Clint Eastwood's character, Bill Munny, very thoughtfully said before blowing off Little Bill's head in The Unforgiven: 'Deserving has nothing to do with it'.
I think 'AssForce' should face Samuel Peter immediately.

if Malignaggi and Cotto fight again it may be like Marquez Mabuza 2. Agree with me?

I don't know what you are getting at with that but that rematch was warranted just because...at that division Marquez had no one better to face and there was big contreversy in the first fight because of the constant traveling and uncertainty for Mabuza prior to the first fight.

Malignaggi got beat the hell out of by Cotto. No need for a rematch there.

Sadly Sprott made news, but he isnt the news Harrison is. We all new how good he was , we didnt realize how bad Harrison is.

granted Audley is 35 but he didn't look bad up until getting knocked out.

And be honest, all you fans of a fighter, if a fighter you liked(such as Margarito, or Oscar or etc) was winning the fight hands down and nearly stopped their opponent in the first round.

    What would you say?

I'm fully aware hald of you people hate Audley Harrison, but it doesn't take away that he was winning the fight hands down(in my eyes) before that shot.

If they fight again then Harrison will win.

If Wladimer comes back three times from situations like that and gets a title shot within 2 fights, then Audley probably will too.

Watching that though I doubt Sprott would fight Audley again because he knows that shot was once in a lifetime.

I've seen highlights of Audley's fight with Richel Hersisia and he was hit much harder then that.. the difference was his mouth wasn't wide open.
it wasnt lucky punch sprott had decent round 2 and was well on his way to winning round 3 before he knocked audley out he was hurting harrison with body shots and was giving audley trouble with left jab he snapped audleys head back with jab quite few times

lol He needs a rematch to set the record straight against a non punching journeyman who sparked him out.

Forget about it Audley, you can fool some of the people some of the time.

Exactly. And this guy gets a world title fight? I think even is looking at Audley saying he's to soft...
