well mukka. it all depends if you mean english beer or beer that you can buy in england? cos generally the best beers to get in england arnt actually english but you still cant really get em in the states.
i'm a lager drinker so will generally just go for a good old pint of carling extra cold for my first choice. but it is by no means the best beer.
if i'm drinking in a weatherspoons i will nearly always go for a bottle of kopperburg. it's swedish (i think) and is a pear cider. very crisp and nice. but beer's of choice whilst in England that arnt english will range from stella artois (wife beater and quite a strong lager), casstlemania xxxx, fosters, (2 ausie beers), kronemburg 1664 (very nice lager), and many more.
but depending on the pub you can get loads of different english ales which are generally drunk by the older generations but you can still get hammered off them a lot of em arnt half bad.
everytime i used to go in one of the pubs back home i always used to drink chedar valley. its an english cider that is about 8%, used to get shit faced off that.
