    Default Haye takes heavyweight fight!

    http://www.fightnews.com/fightnews_2...kXCUhleWf.html

WBC cruiserweight mandatory challenger David Haye (18-1, 17 KOs) will venture into the heavyweight division on April 27 when he meets Poland's WBC #12 Tomasz Bonin (37-1, 20 KOs) in a 12-round non-title affair. The bout will take place at London's Wembley Arena and will act as a stopgap ahead of Haye's impending WBC world title attempt at cruiserweight.

i hope he does well cos i think he's a really good fighter. but if he's already got a title shot against oneil bell at cruiser i cant understand why he doesnt have a crack at it instead of moving up to heavy where he will be at least a few years away from being a contender again

Expect Haye to dazzle in this one, I worry that the comfort of Heavyweight, not fighting the scales will blow his chance at Bell but as a heavy I expect the chin and stamina to be less of an issue. Haye is taking on an opponent with a very impressive record so it should be a good test for him, but I feel there's a good chance we've seen the last of Hayemaker at cruiser.

"There's a fine line between upright and smiling and flat on your back and unconscious in the heavyweight division. Everything you do at heavyweight is a risk. If Bonin hits me with the same shots Fragomeni did last November, I won't be badly cut, I'll be seeing stars. I'm aware of that."

Thats why I like Haye. He knows it could all go wrong but he's willing to try and kick-on with his career regardless.

he's looking at this fight level headed at least. How come he's taking this fight at heavy then going back to fight Bell could be risky i just hope he knows what hes doing.

I dont think so, I think he'll fight Audley Harrison or maybe an american heavyweight after this coz there's no way he's less than 225lbs in that photo, he claims he's 230+ you can't lose that much weight every time you fight it'll kill you. If he's releasing before and after pics to prove it to the general public then he must be preparing us for a move up to heavyweight.

I know he had weight problems at cruiser but being honest i really cant see him being a champ at heavyweight. It's a shame really but i think he is easily the best British heavy at the momment. He would kill Fraudley, Skelton would be closer but Haye's just better than him.

This is when i just wish that match up happend with Enzo Mac being honest it would have been an amazing fight!

Would Audley get in the ring with him? Shame it wasn't Haye that detonated one on Audleys chin instead of Sprott...what an impression that would of made

Audley's gotta fight someone, he's not got a lot of options has he, and a win over David Haye will probably mean more than beating one of the other british heavy's. And we all know David would be up for it, he'll fight anyone.

And admit it if he did fight Harrison, it wouldn't be an easy fight. Bullshit I reckon he'd get outboxed by the giant bastard, until he dropped the bomb on Audley's chin. Also Harrison has got proper heavyweight power, and he's a southpaw, he'd be in Haye's face with his right hand all night. Very interesting fight, but Harrison should get a few wins under his belt against journeymen to get his confidence back up.
