Its a bit crazy. He will be a magnet for suicide bombers and the like. Fair play to the guy, he obviously wants to be a proper soldier and leader of men. Having said that his presence will endanger not only his life but the those of his men. We could say that they are all in danger for being in iraq but more so if harry is hanging around with an SA80 barking orders.
I admire the chap for not shying away from active duty but in the grand scheme of things question if its the right move.

He'll be fine in his tank doing nothing seriously active - I don't think they patrol anymore. The joke for me is their training two cops to go with him to be his bodyguards.

Well, if politicians here in the States DON'T allow their kids to go to war I see no reason why he should go....
BUT
It's HIS choice to go hes saying hes been trained and hes ready to go, then all you can do is respect the kid and wish him the best of luck out there and hope he returns safely home....

why make such a fuss? the fact that they've made all the fuss will mean he's more of a target than all the other soldiers who are there getting blown up.
