He's never been as effective coming forward/as the agressor

and even in his prime,he could not handle the defence of sweetpea, the speed of Mosley and Floyd is almost equal to those two in the respective categories.

Oh and Floyd has always fought guys bigger and stronger than him,and Oscar has never really roughed up an opponent has he? And that is certainly an aspect he will need to beat Floyd.

So HOW does Oscar win? imo,he doesn't. He's fighting a defensive genius in Floyd and he won't have what it takes to beat him. Oscar can talk all he wants about Floyd's mouth pumping him up but this is not Mayorga or Vargas, and once he gets in the ring and sees how elusive Floyd is,he'll realise.

However,I would love nothing more to see OSCAR KTFO fLOYD but I just don't see it happening. I'll certainly be rooting for Oscar though!
Why dont you like PBF,why is it you want him to lose?

Agreed he has not stopped anyone with one punch.

I aint pointin fingers or calling names...but there are some seriously deluded people posting on this thread right now.

Here's the thing...anyone that thinks Oscar is limited to just one punch needs to back track a bit & rejuvinate their brain cells.

Oscar is a combination puncher & he's also a counter puncher...while he may not be the technical wizard that Hopkins or Mayweather are...he can counter with the best of them & he's got a damned accurate jab.

As far as him not being a puncher...again...rewatch the man's career...he's got plenty of scalps on his record...30 to be exact.

That being said...apparently some people seem to be having the same issues with Floyd's punches & are either in denial or deaf, dumb, & blind to the facts. Floyd has knocked out plenty of fighters in his day. Check the man's record & rewatch his career.

Floyd has stopped 24 or 25 of his opponents & he's done it with power. A knockout or TKO is still a knockout...just because it takes more than one or two shots to do it...that doesn't mean he doesn't have power. He's an accumulative puncher & he's accurate as hell.
This is a fairly sensible post. What I think, however, you fail to realize, is that based on exactly what YOU said, all signs point to one outcome; Floyd winning a decision. Oscar has never COME CLOSE to knocking out anyone on Floyd's level, and Floyd also has never come close to stopping anyone of Oscar's ability. I don't think there has ever been a championship fight in the history of boxing that was so clearcut and obvious beforehand that a KO would not happen than this one. Who Floyd has KOd and TKOd in the past doesn't mean sh!t since he's not fighting them now, he's fighting Oscar. And the (extremely one dimensional and limited) fighters Oscar has KOd or TKOd recently mean just as little, because I think we all know Floyd is a different animal. I'll go so far as to say neither one of these guys will even hurt each other the whole night, and by all accounts, the actual fight itself will be somewhat of a dissappointment to most, as you can bet there ain't gonna be a brawl breaking out. And it's funny how people are saying Oscar is just gonna rush Floyd and overpower him, as if it's that easy. Fighting like that against a guy with skill, (who even may not have an ounce of power), will get your a** torn up coming in, especially when the fighter is deadly accurate. Oscar is smart enough to know this, this isn't even gonna be his gameplan. If it were that easy, Floyd would have 4 or 5 losses by now. It's hard to get a good shot in on Floyd just once, and people on this board are saying he's gonna get slaughtered by combos That Floyd is just gonna miraculously get careless for a moment during the biggest fight of his entire life? The fight that he dreamed of even as an amateur in the Olympics in '96? He's trained his whole life for this, and he's gonna do exactly what turned off so many people in the Baldomir fight; fight smart, and stay away. Oscar's way better than Baldomir I know this, but he's not good enough to hunt down and KO the most talented fighter he'll ever fight when that fighter will refuse to give him the opportunity to do so.
Excellent post,I agree ,all the sudden Floyd will meltdown and take all kinds of shots, keep dreaming people.

Both of these guys last wins came against overachievers. Baldomir was just a guy at the right place at the right time. You can't be given an easier opportunity at winning all 3 belts at once that Baldomir had. Anytime someone as suspect and inconsistent as Zab Judah is reigning as an undisputed champion of a division, you know it ain't the glory days. Baldomir's tough and decent, but let's be real, does this guy measure up to other great undisputed champions in boxing history? And with Oscar, Mayorga came to prominence similar to Baldomir. I give him credit for breaking Vernon Forrest, but Forrest simply was stupid for letting his ego take over and deciding to trade with him. Mayorga is merely an average size version of Butterbean. Can anyone speak of one moment where this guy displayed 2 seconds of any fundamental skill? The fact of the matter is one thing remains true, styles make fights. I think Floyd is p4p #1 however he's far from invincible, but I think stylistically, it would take someone like a Hatton or Cotto to beat him, and I'm not even saying they would, but they very well could, and Floyd knows this, which is why he's exstatic that Oscar will share the wealth and give him an exit fight. Oscar does not pressure fighters the way Castillo or Hatton or Cotto do. He has an entirely different style, and his style poses no risk to Floyd. Oscar, on the other hand, also has nothing to lose, as he'll be picking up around $30 million and if he can somehow keep it close and lose competitively, he can spin it as being robbed and save face, as he's done with every loss barring the Hopkins KO, and also add to the fact that he's at the end of his career. Floyd winning and retiring, IMO, would be more disgraceful than getting KO'd in 10 seconds, because Hatton and/or Cotto are the guys that have the style to provide everyone with what they want: a fight with Floyd where he can't run, but is forced to indeed fight. Oscar does not possess the style to do that, and therefore come May 5th he's gonna lose, not because Floyd is greater, but because he's in his prime, hungrier, and stylewise, is unthreatened.
I still dont see how people think Hugman would have a chance agaisnt PBF,did you see the Hugman against that slouth Urango, can you imagine what PBF would do to urango?Hugman is a joke!
