It saddens me not only for the boxer but for boxing itself who's already black image gets further tarnished.
It especially hurts and maddens me when I have money riding on the fight!
I remember the John Ruiz/Andrew Golota fight. Ruiz was knocked down twice in the fight and had a point deduction for hitting during the break. As usual it was a horrible Ruiz clutchfest.
That night there were 4 HW fights I had bet on $500 on each fight.
I won all the other 3 and should have won betting on Golota. I'd have made I think it was about $2000! I still made some money. I remember the crowd went nuts when they announced the Ruiz win decision. I looked stupid as I had been saying hat Golota was winning he fight esp after the 3 points deducted!
Some people even got up and walked out in total disgust even though it was the first of 4 fights and was a PPV!
Yeh i remember that one.. it was called something like night of the heavyweights..

It had ruiz galota, Mcline - byrd, holyfield donald,.. And i think something like either briggs or brewster?
