Boxer is an overused term imo. A guy can jab and circle all day and be called a "boxer." There are way to many one dimensional fighters out there being praised as "pure boxers." Very diluted term now imo. When people say so and so will outbox whoever, well...what does that even mean? It seems if you have a decent jab and some foot movement you're a boxer. Even with a bad defense, chin, power ect...

Miranda gets by by not being a "pure boxer", he has a pretty tight defense on the outside and gets inside really well. Similar to Lacy really. He has lapses in transition and he can be countered but he still imposes his fight on his opponent win or lose. So I wouldn't call him a bad boxer... I think you're spot on in that last post CC 136.
