You can't blame Vic. Actually I'm a bit scared for Vic because this type of thing can really derail a career and no one wants to see a young guy like Vic's career come to a halt because of an unfortunate incident like this. The news sounds promising, hope he can pull through my thoughts and prayers are definitely with Burgos and his family.

And I also had a problem with Vann throwing the towel out. Sure it was a great fight after that but I still don't believe he was in the right there.

Make no mistake, anyone who enters the ring does so with a vulnerability and a dependence...he depends on his corner or the referee to save him if things go badly. Some times, this dependence turns out to be unreliable and the results are tragic. What part of white towel did his corner not understand?

Burgos woke up and is reacting to doctors today , Doctors rated him in a stable condition.

That is good news, all the best to Victor Burgos. Let us all remember how much guts all of these guys have in stepping into the ring. I know Vic wanted to visit him and wish him well before flying home.

Yeah, being a fightfan is kind of like a brotherhood. It's funny - boxing fans can be so one eyed and passionate about their 'favourites' that they kind of lose perspective. I hate Zab Judah, want to see Mayweather get sparked by DLH, and wish to Christ Winky would beat Hopkins - but when something like this happens I forget all about this stuff.

When you read about Burgos, and what happened to Leavander Johnson , you realise just how much ALL of these brave men risk for our entertainment, even the ones I don't like...

This fight was a total missmatch, just a quick clip proves it really.
Burgos is being tee'd off on with every left hand.
Should have pulled him out early imo.

    That was hard to see......

At one point I was hoping his corner would stop the bout....

My girlfriend kept closing her eyes and saying why are they still letting him fight......

When they put him on the stretcher she couldn't look that way she kept her head turned and she said she felt bad for him....
