i think pride had a lot to do with it tho. For sum1 like roy to accept 50-50 with hopkins it would be like admiting that hopkins was on par with him, something RJJ didn't believe.

same really as hopkins refusing to take the 40%, if he thought he would win then take the 40, after that we would be in mega money fights - 40% would of still been more than he has ever been paid in his career before.
