Qawi was shot by then. He beat Evander the first time, and Evander couldn't take Lewis or Tyson punches when he was at 190 he didn't have the legs. I am not saying SPinks would hurt him, but he was the better boxer, and that would play a role in this. Also Holmes was still a great fighter, and he would given a prime heavyweight Evander Holyfield a very hard time with his jab and combinations at that time.
