My man Julio-G getting back into the ring trying to get another title shot
Nicely done Julio-G....
I won't argue the Woods fight cause it was a really good fight BUT I will argue that the score given by the judges was WAAAYYYYYYYY!!! phucken! off..... shame really....
But anywho!!!
Good for you Julio-G, IMO he should be able to win decisevely this time around....
Huck vs. Tokarev should be a cracking fight.....
Other news on there....
WTF? Cunningham don't know why but I got a feeling Cunninghams playing the part and trying to play some mind games here...... I still think Krysztof won the 1st fight just slightly but he did win it.
Boxrec says he is fighting Julio Gonzalez in an IBF eliminator, this just doesnt make sense. Both men have fought Woods and lost. Why do they get an eliminator? I cant see either men getting too far now in this late stage of their carrer to be honest and i can't see Woods being to intrested in fighting them either. In terms of Woods, does anybody know what is going on with him? Surely it would be a step back if he had was made to fight either one of these men again? I cant see him losing either.
The fight is on the 11th may.
The Glen Johnson fight truly intrigues me. He was robbed badly in his last outing with Julio Gonzalez.
As far as Woods goes, he needs to stay busy and I don;t see any other big fights out there for him right now.
My two favorite fighters at 175. Julio is awesome but he just gets hit to easily. He's so tall for an inside fighter, too tall imo.
I was at his last fight, and he got rocked and rocked bad against Vitali Kopitko. It was one of the best 3 rounders ever but he got tagged a lot. In what should have been a squash. There was a point in that fight where everybody in that arena thought Julio was done.
He's just not good enough to compete against the top dogs anymore. Maybe it's because he has to kill himself to make weight or because his skills have just faded but he isn't the fighter that beat Dariusz anymore imo. It should be a very entertaining fight because both fighters throw with intention but I see Glenn eventually walking through Julio.
Then that brings up...Woods - Johnson IIII. Do we really need to see that?![]()
Glen Johnson gets screwed a lot imo and never seems to get as much respect as he deserves. That being said hes getting older and his style is not meant for an old fighter. he has fought like a young guy for a while and he had a late prime but i get a feeling his age will catch up with him soon
Psalm 144: Blessed be the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle
I can see Woods losing to both. He's already lost to Johnson before. Hell he's really lost to him twice. But was given a gift draw in one of them. For somebody to say Woods facing one of these two fighters is a step backwards is laughable. Like if Woods is some kind of elite fighter or something. Woods is nothing but a paper title holder. The IBF title holder. He is not a champion.Originally Posted by Tam Seddon

Hes just a level below.....
Shold make for a good scrap....
Well at the end of the day VD he has beat them in their last fights and got the nod so therefore he is a better fighter. In terms of Woods he is getting older and what does it prove a fourth fight with GJ or another win against JG? It wont mean S***! so on that note it is a backwards step if he wants to show he is the best at light heavy he will need to fight another champ like Dawson or someone of his calabor. How you can say he is a paper champ is beyond me, he has won the belt and I know it was vacant but have you seen woods take any easy steps out? he has defended his title more than once and therefore he is the champ! I really do think it would be a backwards step fighting either of these men in terms of woods. He can only push on from a GJ win and i dont see how another fight with him would do that? why isnt he an elite fighter in the devision he has beaten the fighters who have been in front of him?Originally Posted by Violent Demise
How is it laughable? Going back over old ground can hardly be called moving forwards can it? Particularly in Gonzales case, Woods beat him comfortablyOriginally Posted by Violent Demise
Going back to fight them would be a sideways step at best, it certainly isnt moving forward is it?
Ideally Woods gets himself big money fights against new blood. If thats not viable then he defends his 'paper' title against another excellent challenger, again.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
