Qawi was shot by then. He beat Evander the first time, and Evander couldn't take Lewis or Tyson punches when he was at 190 he didn't have the legs. I am not saying SPinks would hurt him, but he was the better boxer, and that would play a role in this. Also Holmes was still a great fighter, and he would given a prime heavyweight Evander Holyfield a very hard time with his jab and combinations at that time.

What i said was in Holyfied-Quawi 2 he was shot... the first fight took to much out of him, and he wasn't the same again, but however he won the first fight IMO, and in alot of other peoples minds as well. Also its not just that Evander couldn't handle the power of Lewis or Tyson at cruiserweight, but he didn't have that level of chin at cruiserweight. I've seen him get rocked by a few cruiserweights who weren't special at all.

Qawi was Evander’s 12th pro fight it’s important to remember that . S*** you got guys fighting today they got records like 40 something -0 never been in the ring with a live guy like Qawi ,

As far as Evander’s worthiness as a cruiserweight . Evander sparred with Tyson and Bowe as an amateur weighting roughly 170 and some change ! He held his own with Tyson. They had to be separated ... And Evander was kicking Bowe’s a** this Duva was saying . Evander Holyfield as a young fighter was a force to be reckoned as scrap would say “ make no mistake “ !

So Evander didn't fight that many fights at cruiserweight period. Spinks would have still had the experience edge on him which further proves my point. However Evander fought alot of game fighters as an amateur. Tyson's biggest problem in amateurs was the protection it helped against the punches. Bowe must have been very young when he fought Evander at the amateurs because he is 4-5 years younger than Evander. I don't have a hard time seeing a 15 year old getting beaten up by a 19-20 year old.
