There can be no question now that Wladimir represents the future of the heavyweight division and is the best person out there to bring back some drama, glamour and excitement to the heavyweight scene.

You have to give him credit. At a time when most heavies are embarassingly flabby and out of shape Wlad looks like he has been carefully hewn out of marble. He's got power, he can box, he can be explosive and he has some vulnurabilites, that to me makes him the most exciting and important heavyweight out there.

When you factor in the improving Sam Peter, the possible return of Dr Ironfist and the towering presence of the unbeaten Russian Collosus in Valuev I think we need to be positive about the state of the heavyweight division.

It's slowly getting better. I'd say we are in a better position now than at any time since Lennox Lewis retired and I for one am interested in watching Wlad and Vitali try and unify the crowns, with Sam Peter and Nicolai Valuev out to spoil the party.

I agree...Wlad is defiantly a specimen that more fighters should model themselves after. He is always in shape.
I also think that your right the heavyweights are starting to look up. I still am kind of pissed off about the whole Sam Peter/Oleg Maskaev/Vitaly Klitschko fiasco....But Like you said Sam is improving and that makes him even more dangerous...I am still not sold on Valuev though but no matter what things will be getting interesting for the big men very soon
