Good fights all around, I'm gonna have to step it up here. Here are a few.

Roberto Duran - Esteban De Jesus
Antonio Escalante - Jose Andres Hernandez
    Dennis Green - Mickey Ward
    Michael Carbajal - Humberto Gonzalez

And if you can stand to watch it, Ray Mancini and Deu Koo Kim (spelling is probably off) Tragic ending and the fight i hard to stomach but had Kim not died, this would be regarded as one of the greatest fights ever. Kind of the same with Griffith - Peret III. Wasn't as good but a very competitive fight but these fights are just so damn hard to watch

    Cutmemick mentioned tito - vargas...

Not really sure on this one... Its a truely legendary fight..Not sure if it quite gets its props...

Personally i would have had it fight of the year.. A real shame it had stiff competition in barrera - morales I
    Imo it still edged it...

    Good call on the Paez-Grove....

    Sanchez-Castillo
    Gomez-Pintor
    Arguello-Olivares
    Vargas-Tito
ive wanted to see these fights for ages what kind of fights are they mick great tactical fights or slugfest ??
Sanchez-Castillo - It started off tactical as Castillo was edging out the rounds as he wouldn't back down for nothing then in the middle rounds Sanchez warmed up and started going to work and was getting the better part of the rounds.... In the championship rounds though tired Castillo kept throwing punches and would catch Sanchez on the odd occasion but Sanchez was smarter in the sense that he was moving around and using more ring generalship in the 12, 13 & 14 Sanchez landed some really hard punches that were snapping Castillos head back and those late rounds were the ones that sealed the deal for Sanchez great fight as Castillo was game the whole way through....

Arguello-Olivares - Forget it!! man! one of my fav. fights to watch.... What a battle, the story of the GREAT champ vs. the hungry kid who want's to be that great champ.... Olivares though past his best days came out to work he was trying to get inside throughout the fight and make it an inside fight at times he suceed it but for the most part Arguello kept him at distance. Olivares caught Arguello on accasions with some good blows to the body and to the head but the young Arguello took them and fought back..... In the championship rounds it was obvious Olivares was tiring and was fighting on heart, will and the blood and guts the he always showed in his career he lande a big bomb in the 12th round that hurt Arguello but Olivares could not finish the job he tried and hard you could see Olivares just literally throwing punches with whatever he had left........ In the 13th round Arguello drops Olivares and when hes on the floor Arguello tells him and I quote "Come on get up, don't stay down get up and fight me", Olivares with the heart of a warrios beats the count he fights back but by this time it was too late as Arguello drops him again this time Arguello states that in his mind as he stood in the corner he said and I quote "Please, don't let him get up" .... After the fight Argeullo visited Olivares dressing room and told Olivares and I quote "Your a great champ. and I will defend this belt the same way you have"......

    Both really great fights....IMO

ali-frazier 2---most overlooked fight ever-- because it didnt have the drama of 1 and 3. it has lots of action and better than most fights seen today

Depends what you like to watch really...

Everybody loves to see a war..
But i also love to see a great boxer go to work.. Bhop is in such great shape the whole time that he never needed to go looking for a ko cos he could do what he does all night and it shows down the long run..

Malignaggi fights..Alot of people diss paulie for not bieng a power puncher..
Im a big fan .. Good boxer very speedy.. A real character in and out the ring..
I think its mostly his opponents faults that his fights arent as exciting as others cos we know paulie can fight..And is there to fight.. Look at the cotto bout.. real entertaining cos cotto came to fight and is a great fighter.. However cherry couldnt do enough to snap out of bieng outboxed and just didnt make a fight of it..

Also many close fights are not so much underrated but unnapreciated ..
For instance Collazo - Hatton ..
I thought it was a real good quality fight thatwas overshadowed by a close decision and nobody tends to comment on how good the fight was..

    Peace
Yeah baby that was a cracking fight it had skill aggression and it swayed one way and then next right up to the bell .

I also Think Micheal Brodie - Injin Chi is one of the most underated fights of all time a true fucking battle with no little skill .

My alltime favourite fight has to be Tito - Vargas . Tito remember was red hot and so was Vargas despite the Winky fight .

Vargas showed such incredible bottle under pressure the way he kept his boxing together under the severest of pressure was just awe inspiring .

He didn't panic stayed in range and got his jab working with tito in mean machine mode . The only fighter to come close to exhibiting that kind of bottle under pressure was Marquez against Pacman .

Difference was Fernando was a mere whisp of a lad at 21 .

Holmes v Berbick (car park not ring) I'd have loved to seen a follow up to that, maybe Larry dropping on TB from a bus shelter with elbow Hulk Hogan style wrong topic should be in rematche but dont know how to move it
