i agree with this post.. briggs seems like he's always running out of steam when he punches for more than 20 seconds. i think he just got lucky in his fight with liacovich(sp?)

Heres your 1st cool click #1 on me. Hope you enjoy! your stay here....

2nd I agree, with you about him running out of steam BUT I will say that 20 seconds sounds like too much time, 10 seconds is more like it.....
He was very lucky to beat Lyakhovich in THE MOST BORING FIGHT EVER....

Briggs wouldn't last the 12 as the aggressor and if couldn't last 3 rounds on the defensive.
That leads me to belive he wouldn't go past round 8.

I'm not so sure about the early KO but I definantly see Wlad stopping Briggs.

Shannon is dangerous with his handspeed and power but his stamina and heart are the big questions. I think Wladimir moves and paws with the jab letting Briggs chase him around the ring and then I see Wlad unloading combinations on Briggs stopping him in 6 due to an asthma attack brought on by Wladimir's power punching

Briggs has a little chance I think, was just looking at the both of them on the tube site and klit... doesnt seem to handle power shots very well and if briggs connects i think he,ll wobble the Russian.I seen a briggs interview and he seems very hungry for this and he will give it all. Also the size of him has slowed him down somewhat but there is 1 possitive thing with his chunky body is he can absorb bigger punches and has a better chin than klit....IMO.

I think would be a 60/40 fight in Wlads favour Briggs is big he is one paced but he is powerful and he is solid muscle he is'nt fat so if he was serious who knows

One way or another (either asthma or cuz he got knocked out) Briggs is reaching for the oxygen mask before the 4th round.

Briggs may not be the best conditioned fighter out there (and he isn't) but he still has enough stank to be VERY dangerous to Wlad for the first few rounds. Briggs has a very good puncher's chance against Wlad, but I think Wlad's jab and movement would be too much in the end - Wlad would knock him into next week.

Wlad by KO after 8. Not because he doesn't have the power to KO Briggs, he absolutely does, but he will feel him out until he's comfortable enough to pull the trigger. And in that interim is where Briggs will be dangerous. Briggs probably has the hardest jab in the division. Klitschko has the most effective jab and I make the difference between the two by saying if Briggs hits you clean with his you're going to ache for the rest of the night, but Klitschko has the ability to hit you several times with his and direct you around whereas Briggs' has to find you where you are and he doesn't have the ability to throw something away for a lack of stamina to herd an opponent into a superior position to hit.

Briggs is a much better counterpuncher than he gets credit for, but Klitschko doesn't throw counter friendly punches. He jabs from way back and if you think you can open up and counter it you will meet THE best punch in boxing in Klitschko's straight right hand. It comes with a suit and tie and a spit-shined pair of dress shoes because it's always ready to work. They should call him Wlad The Impaler.

If they find a cure for asthma Briggs murdalizes everyone in the division. Till then, he's up on deck as the next to lose his belt after Maskaev. He'd better thank God for pneumonia.
