Default Does Barrera have a suspect chin?

With the Marquez barrera fight around the corner a lot of people are saying that barrera's chin is quite suspect. I foremost believe you can't go toe to toe with Erik Morales for 36 rounds and not get even knocked down with a suspect chin.
"Very few people really understand what it means to be a fighter. I hate it when I hear someone say, 'That fighter doesn't have guts. I hate that, I don't care if you're a world champion six times over or a four-round fighter, to step inside that ring, you have to have guts" Oscar De La Hoya

No. He can be hit, and hurt, but his chin is certainly nowhere near suspect. He has a very good chin, and has only ever been remotely hurt let alone dropped by great punches or an accumlation of good ones.

Barrera's speed and stamina may be suspect, just because of age and a lot of tough fights, but I don't think his chin is suspect.
As you said, he spent 36 rounds in the ring with Morales and never went down (although he did go down from a body punch in their second fight, it was ruled a slip but I thought it was a knockdown).

He got battered for 11 rounds by Pacquiao but was on his feet when the fight was stopped. Could Marquez hurt Barrera? Sure. But Barrera's chin isn't suspect.

Pretty unanimous here then, we all know his chins fine. The only cause for concern could be father time catching up with him but I honestly dont think thats the case yet. Marquez will probably give him a tough fight sure, but I can't see Barrera losing this. Besides the way hes changed and adapted his style throughout his carrer shows that hes a smart fighter and I reckon hes got sense enough to be one of the very few great fighters who retire before they are past it. Hes been saying for a while that hes only got about a year left in the sport and I think he'll stick to that. I hoping for a very good year from him hopefully culminating in a rematch with Pacquio and then he retires on top.

MABs chin is not suspect IMO, he has a good chin. Now can his age have changed the way he takes a punch now? Possibly but previous to this no MAB has a really good chin.

Pac's the only one to have hurt him and even then he wasn't KO'ed.

But yeah! man! Jones had the 'Poison' too bad he pissed his boxing life away.
Whatever happened to his comeback? Do you know anything on it?
