Will there ever be 1 world champ per division again?

I was looking thru the beltholders this morning. There was only one fighter in any division who holds more than one belt, and that's Jermain Taylor. He holds two belts at 160.

What is the biggest joke of all is that the 3 guys who are clearly the 3 best fighters in the world... Floyd, Winky, and Pac... own a combined zero belts. That tells you all you need to know about whether belts matter anymore. They mean nothing.

Does Mayweather not own the welterweight belts anymore?

I think Mosley is listed as the "interim" champion for Mayweather's one belt. Why Floyd isn't allowed one fight at 154 is beyond me.
