Regardless of the who what and why we went to war the fact of the matter is the conflicts from West culture and fundamentalist radical Islam are coming to a head and were before the war. Radical Islam does not allow for an alternative opinion and is a destabalizing and violent culture. Multiple attacks on the Trade center, USS Cole, and the embassy attacks pretty much show that radical islam will attempt to kill US and western civilians at any chance they get. It is a culture of female servitude, ignorance and hate. At no time in history have zealots been able to be defeated by anything other than violent bloodshed. Terrorists have no respect for human life or innocent civilians and I don't know why we should fight them any different. As a US Infantry man I'm happy to make as many trips to Iraq/Afghanistan/Syria/Iran so that the islamic radicals don't have to go very far to find a fight or their own demise. The Iraq invasion may have been based on politics and bad intelligence and there is no doubt that it has been fought on the cheap. All that being said terrorists and radicals understand only a bullet in the head. They can not be reasoned with. If radical islam and the orginizations that feed off it are allowed to go unchecked the GWOT will come more and more to our own front door step. President Bush's legacy is yet to be undetermined. That being said I can only hope and pray that future US presidents continue a proactive foriegn policy. Foriegn nations need to know that if they harbor, finance or help terrorist that their nations will feel the full brunt of the US military. Forget nation building. And yes I'd spit in Rosie's face given the chance. I've never liked that bitch ever since she used an interview about Tom Selleck's upcoming movie to ambush him about the NRA.
