Ok it's done downloading but for some reason I can't view it? I tried to extract the files and it gave me an error. How to I change it from .Rar to .avi?

I downloaded winamp to play the nsv format files but out of the blue I have lost the video and have only sound. I havent knowingly made any changes to how it works. Ive only used winamp a few times so Im not familiar with it. Anyone any ideas as to what might be going on? It happens to files that played fine previously as well as new files.

JUST RIGHT CLICK...HIT RENAME...AND TAKE THE "RAR" OFF AND PUT "AVI" INSTEAD
