Looks like jones will be fighting on the undercard of j taylors next bout and I think its a great mov ehim coming down to middle, hes older but he will have more hanspeed and reflexes fighting a smaller man. I certainly feel the edge goes to the younger taylor but.. i think roy has a shot

Roy Jones said sometime around his last fight that he struggles to make 175... I really really doubt he will make it near middle... You sure this isn't being planned at SMW? Even that would be a stretch for Jones.

Yea I have a hard time seeing how he could even make 168, but I have heard this discussed before, it would sell tickets and Taylor moving up would be a good thing imo. He has unfinished business at 160 but the major threats there are both huge mw's as well who could follow him up.. For some reason a match between Jones and Taylor does intrigue me I actually somewhat think Roy Jones could beat him. Taylor might not do as well as everyone would expect.. Who knows what Roy has left but he looked ok in his last fight, not against a top opponent but still he has all the tools Taylor does(probably he is faster and hits harder still even), he just doesn't use them enough or isn't mentally there, he's gunshy.. But Taylor has looked that way too. If he could pull together another good/great performance for whatever reason Id expect him to win... Just a feeling.

I don't see how this fight could be at anything lower than maybe a 172 or 173 catchweight. Jones hasn't fought at 168 in 11 years. There is NO way he could make 168 without going on a hunger strike.

I'm not sure if Roy Jones Jr. is faster than Taylor anymore. Taylor is pretty damn fast.
